The difference between Dutch and US int qwerty
We regularly get asked what the difference is between a US international keyboard and a Dutch keyboard. To provide clarity, we wrote a blog about this.
There are many language layouts for a keyboard, but in this message, we will only focus on the Dutch and US international QWERTY types. Both are used in the Netherlands for both Apple and PCs.
A commonly used type in the Netherlands is US international. Below is an image of this keyboard on a MacBook Pro.

This type is mainly recognizable by a horizontal Enter/Return key. Furthermore, it has a wider Shift key, and the Backslash is located at the top right of the Enter key. The Dutch keyboard largely resembles the US international keyboard. However, there are a few small differences. See the image below.

This type of keyboard is easiest to recognize by the vertical Return key, and the backslash is located here below the Return key. Additionally, the Dutch keyboard has a € symbol above the “2.” To use it, you need to press the ALT + 2 key combination; this also works on a US international keyboard if you set the localization to Dutch. Lastly, there is a smaller Shift key and a tilde/grave accent key next to it. On the US international keyboard, this is located above the Tab key.
